Credit card payments now supported

March 9th, 2008

I have added support for credit card and Paypal payments. These payment options are currently only avaliable for orders under A$250 and they also have a higher fee (10% with a $15 minimum fee). If your order is under $250 you will automatically be given the option of paying by credit card or paypal in the final quote email. While many of you will want to continue to pay by the cheaper direct debit method, I would appreciate any comments you have on these new payment options.

Edit. The limit is now $750.

Edit 2. The limit is now $4000.

I have created a page where you can see the last 30 items that have been ordered by our customers. This might give you some idea of what people are ordering (iPhone’s are very popular) and may inspire you to order the same. The link is shown below.

USA projector rebates extended through March 2008

March 4th, 2008

The USA recession must be really starting to bite as all the projector rebates have been extended through to the end of March. In addition, Visual Apex is now offering some pretty substantial addition instant rebates ($75 to $200) and free shipping on their projectors.

The standout bargain at the moment is the Optoma HD70 720p DLP projector at US$949.00 with free USA shipping and a $200 mail-in rebate. This brings the final price including shipping to Australia and our fees to around $A950.00. This is well under the $1000 customs limit so you won’t need to pay GST or duty on the projector either.
