First time, Expensive order

I recently used Price USA to buy my laptop from the USA and get it shipped to Australia. The laptop wasn’t an Australian model and there is nothing like it in Australia and won’t be for a while. I got the laptop shipped through Price USA as the laptop company (won’t be named), would not ship to Australia - because of loss in profit (this explains why technology items are so much more expensive here in Australia, as our stores are less competitive and more worried about their big profits). I rang up Carolina and was instantly attended to with all questions answered. I felt reassured by her professional manner and how simply the priceUSA service worked.

Postage was fast - considering the distance travelled and states crossed. I was provided with a tracking number (which was reliable for once!) and could see when it got to Australia and an estimated delivery date. Received my laptop yesterday (1 week ahead of delivery date!). In less than a month my laptop was ordered, shipped and received by me from the US to Australia to type this thankfully positive review! Not bad.

My only warning to be sure on postage box dimensions - i had no trouble as i constantly bugged the laptop company to give me the EXACT shipping dimensions (another numerous referrals). Any small differences in estimated size and weight will significantly increase shipping costs from US to Australia. Others that have used priceUSA, I’ve noticed, have not been given exact dimensions and payed an extra (surprise) fee. This is their fault not priceUSA for not being for careful – it’s your order so you get the details right and priceUSA will do the rest.

Overall i highly recommend priceUSA to anyone for anything! Saved a lot of money on my order instead of buying something similar here for twice the price. Most importantly - there wasn’t any hidden fees, just pay the deposit, item brought, then once item is at US partner you pay the remaining amount and shipping, THEN your item is sent to Australia. Great communication is also another great aspect of how priceUSA does business - constant emails on any new information and quick replies to any queries about the item.

Yes shipping is dependent on the box dimensions and if you can find out in advance the exact size of the box then surprise can be avoided. If the size and weight are accurate then the quote will be accurate too.
