Couldn't be happier - highly recommended!

After balking at the AU$160 price tag of a K&N Air Filter from a well-known automotive parts retailer, I decided to look elsewhere. I found an online US retailer who was offering the part at US$46.83; only ran into the dilemma that they only offered domestic US shipping. Cue Price USA!

I read mixed reviews about Price USA's service, but thought I would place an order nonetheless and see how reasonable (or otherwise) the quote would be.

I placed the order on 11 December 2011, following instructions on what info to provide etc. I received an e-mail on the same day with an estimated final cost of AU$65.83 (US$46.83 for part, US$1.17 for delivery protection, US$17.04 for postage, exchange rate of 0.988 - 3c below spot rate - Price USA benefit marginally from this). I agreed to proceed with the order given the total cost of the part was some AU$100 cheaper than what I could source it for domestically. An immediate deposit of AU$37.76 was requested, which I paid promptly and received e-mailed confirmation for.

I was advised that the order had been placed with their US partner on 13 December 2011. On 15 December 2011, I was then advised that the part had been shipped to the US partner's address by the US parts retailer. I was advised that the US partner had received it on 16 December 2011, and that a balance of AU$32.82 was payable (meaning the total cost was AU$70.58 - a divergence of less than AU$5.00 from the estimated final cost due to a revised shipping cost). Again I paid this promptly and received notification of payment on 19 December 2011.

On 9 January 2012, I received the item, packaged in a way that ensured the item was not at all damaged. The part was exactly the one I had instructed be ordered, and I was not required to pay anything additional to the AU$70.58 I paid Price USA.

All in all I cannot fault Price USA. Communication is definitely one of their strong points, as I was informed at each point along the way. While the final cost was a little over the estimated final cost, it is exactly that, an estimate, and I understand that. Postage time was extremely reasonable given the busy Christmas period. And that the process took less than a month from placing order to delivery of goods is extremely pleasing.

I would use Price USA again without hesitation. I cannot speak higher of them. Job well done Carolina and team!!
